Hi! I’m Kenny.
I know the pressure of planning a wedding. From the burden and stress of planning, to the uncertainty and chaos of the day. I wasn’t a wedding photographer 1 year ago. My only wedding experience was having attended two weddings as a guest sometime in the past 10 years. 1 year ago, I was in your shoes. Then one of my friends/clients referred me to a soon-to-be-bride who she was going to be the matron of honor for, and they trusted me as their wedding photographer.
What I lacked in wedding experience, I made up for in preparation and communication. I met with the couple several times in person and through video chat leading up to the wedding, created a photography timeline for them and even showed up to their rehearsal the night before with my significant other/assistant. I worked in a freezer warehouse for the past 8 years, so I saw this wedding as a golden opportunity to change my life. I know that sounds a bit dramatic, but that’s literally how I felt 😂. I’m pretty sure their wedding day was as important to me as it was to them.
As the wedding date got closer, my imagination began to run its course. I researched, planned, practiced, and communicated with my couple often in hopes that it all would go smoothly. They wanted the story of their day to be beautifully documented and the once in a lifetime moments captured in a way that would be relaxing and allowed them to just be and feel like themselves.
After the final photo was taken at the end of the night, I asked the bride & groom how’d everything go.
Their answer: “Perfect”.
They trusted me as their photographer, and never had to worry about photography.
Suddenly wedding photography, which I had previously thought I was too introverted and inexperienced to succeed at, became a priority above everything else. Now I hope to be a wedding photographer and guide to many more couples so that you can also say “perfect” when you think back to your wedding day, and feel like you’re there again whenever you see your wedding photos.
Want a hyper photographer who only focuses on candids or only on portraits? I’m not him.
I combine them. If you want both, artistic and real, let’s talk.
